LITTLE SENSO | YOUTH PROGRAMME

The Little Senso programme at Art of Senso is our youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defence curriculum, designed to help children build confidence, discipline, and resilience both on and off the mats.

Led by our experienced coaching team, Little Senso introduces young students to the foundations of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and movement in a safe, structured, and engaging environment. Classes are focused on developing coordination, focus, teamwork, and respect — all while keeping training fun and rewarding.

Through drills, games, and controlled sparring, students learn how to defend themselves responsibly, stay calm under pressure, and support their teammates. Beyond physical skills, the programme instills life values that last far beyond the gym — teaching kids how to listen, lead, and grow with confidence.

  • Our youngest group focuses on fun, movement, and confidence building. Classes introduce the basic concepts of balance, coordination, and teamwork through interactive games and simple martial arts techniques. The aim is to help children develop focus, discipline, and body awareness — while keeping training playful and engaging.
Focus areas: coordination, listening skills, teamwork, and basic BJJ positions.

  • At this stage, students begin learning structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling techniques, including positional control, escapes, and basic submissions. Training balances discipline with enjoyment, teaching kids how to defend themselves responsibly and work effectively with partners. This group also introduces the foundations of goal setting, perseverance, and respect for others.
Focus areas: technical development, control, confidence, and personal responsibility.

  • Our advanced youth group bridges the gap between junior training and adult classes. Teen Senso students are challenged to refine their technique, improve physical conditioning, and develop a competitive mindset. Classes combine elements of No-Gi grappling, takedowns, and self-defence, helping teens gain both technical proficiency and emotional maturity. For those interested, competition preparation and mentorship are available.
Focus areas: technical depth, leadership, resilience, and transition to adult training.
